Antonio is a classically trained percussionist from Spain, with an interest in histori-cally informed performance and contemporary music.
He studied percussion in Valladolid and Salamanca, collaborating with orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León and Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia.
In 2011 he moved to The Hague, where he obtained his Bachelor and Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire. Since then, Antonio has been invited to play with leading orchestras and ensembles of classical music (e.g. Residentie Orkest, Ludwig Ensem-ble), early music (Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Les Muffatti) and contempo-rary music (Asko|Schönberg, Slagwerk Den Haag, New European Ensemble).
Currently, he is developing a project as well as parallel research on contemporary music education, organizing concerts and workshops.
Antonio likes chilling in the north of Spain, and every now and then, exploring the world of John Cage.
